Mat is the Policy and Research Coordinator and has been with the organisation for just over a year.
What have been a few of the highlights of 2010 for you in your area of access?
The creation of the committee follows President Obama’s signing of the 21st Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act on October 8. The provisions of the act include a requirement that television content made available via the Internet must have captions and some audio description.
Chris Mikul has been with captioning for more than twenty years and is the Project Manager focused on television and accessibility.
What have been a few of the highlights of 2010 for you in your area of access?
The intention of Westpac Group is to acknowledge the needs of its employees, customers and community members and accommodate them. An audit conducted by the group in 2010 has informed the priorities and criteria identified in the 2011 Accessibility Action Plan.
