The Blind Bargains Access Awards recognizes the best products, websites, stores, and people in the blind community. According to Blind Bargains media release, nearly 500 people participated in the nomination and voting rounds this year.
For the first time, Apple won best screen access program for its screen reader VoiceOver. VoiceOver is a gesture-based screen reader that is a standard feature in Mac OS X operating system (version 10.4 onwards) and iOS devices such as iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Apple also won best hardware product for the blind and vision impaired with iPhone 4 andbest company serving the blind community.

- Best Software Product: Qwitter client
- Best Accessible Game: RS Games Uno
- Best Blindness-related Blog: Fred’s Head from APH
- Must Follow Twitter Account: @fredshead
- Best Blindness-related podcast or radio program: SeroTalk Podcast
- Best Store for Blindness-related Products: Independent Living Aids
