W3C standards likely to be adopted by ISO/IEC

no

The International Standards Organization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) recently announced that they are likely to formally acknowledge a number of Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C) frameworks as international standards.

The W3C has now been accepted as an "ISO/IEC JTC 1 PAS Submitter" in recognition of national bodies increasingly referring to W3C's widely deployed standards. Given the W3C’s independence and support for the ‘open web’, the move will reduce the need for multiple international web standards, making it easier for web developers to implement consistent and accessible online media.
