WebAIM, the leading US provider of web accessibility expertise, has published a guide to Using VoiceOver to evaluate web accessibility.

VoiceOver is a screen reader that comes standard with Mac OS X and all iOS devices (i.e. iPhone and iPad, iPod touch). WebAIM’s latest article provides basic information and tips for using VoiceOver to evaluate website accessibility.

Screen readers are often used as part of the web accessibility testing process. For people who do not use screen readers in their everyday lives, testing with screen readers can be difficult, and there are right and wrong ways to conduct testing.

This article, along with others such as using NVDA to evaluate web accessibility, forms a collection of articles about web accessibility from WebAIM.
