Ofcom, the UK broadcast regulator, has set out further conditions for industry providing access for vision impaired and hearing impaired people accessing Video On Demand (VOD) services.

Under its proposed system, which is expected to be confirmed in March 2010, Ofcom will expect industry to prepare a written access plan and to report regularly to Ofcom on access provisions.  This is part of the co-regulatory regime that will be set up between Ofcom and the Association for TV on Demand (ATVOD).  The full statement can be found by visiting the Ofcom website.
