Following on from yesterday’s announcement of Village Cinemas’ Jam Factory location in Melbourne ending its open captioned sessions, Hoyts Cinemas has announced that its Carousel complex in Perth will also screen its last open captioned and audio described movie on Sunday 23 November.

Hoyts Cinemas is part of the Cinema Access Implementation Plan which works toward the instalment of audio description and closed captioning devices such as CaptiView in major cinema chains nationally.

Hoyts is unable to confirm when Carousel will commence closed captioned and audio described sessions but looks forward to welcoming back its regular accessible movie customers.

Media Access Australia will announce the commencement of closed captions and audio description at Hoyts Carousel when the information is available. Perth movie fans can visit the new accessible movie location at Innaloo Megaplex in the meantime to catch the latest movies seven days per week.
