Starting with Marking Time, an exhibition of major works by 11 Australian and international artists, the MCA will offer audio described tours of its permanent collection later in 2012. Marking Time includes drawing, watercolour, sculpture, installation, sound and light and the audio described tour will explore selected works, ideas and themes within the exhibition.
Visitors can also take the chance to explore the newly redeveloped museum, which now combines the original art deco-styled Maritime Service Board building with the new Mordant Wing which was opened on 29 March.
The audio description of Marking Time will be held on Saturday, 5 May from 10am to 11am starting from the MCA foyer. Bookings are essential and can be made via learning@mca.com.au.
