The annual Melbourne Festival has opened its entire program to the blind and vision impaired by inviting patrons to request audio description for the performance they wish to see.

By completing a request form in either a Word or PDF format, Melbourne Festival will consider submissions but would like patrons to know that some circumstances outside of its control, relating to a venue or the artistic company, may prevent audio description being offered. In this instance another event, date or time may be suggested.

You can also listen to the request procedure as part of an audio version of the Program Guide.

Melbourne Festival will take place from 6 to 22 October but requests for audio description must be submitted by 19 August. The Festival is offering the same booking service for Auslan.

Further information on Melbourne Festival’s access services can be found on its access page, by calling the Melbourne Festival N-Able service on 03 9662 4242, or by emailing the N-Able service.
