The session will cover how audio description can improve access to media such as TV, cinema, DVDs and the arts, for people who are blind or vision impaired.
Presented by Blind Citizens Australia and Media Access Australia, the session will let you know how audio description can help you and how and where you can find it.
Attendees will:
- Learn about audio description
- Discover where and how audio description is available
- Experience the benefits of audio description themselves with a live demonstration
- See an scene out of Baz Luhrmann's film Australia with the audio description soundtrack
- Have the opportunity to win some great door prizes
This session will be held from 1:30-3:30pm on Saturday 21 August 2010, in ‘Shirley House’, 11a Ethel Street, Burwood NSW. Refreshments will be provided.
