Media Access Australia (MAA) is expanding its work in access, with two new members joining the team in July. As technology advances, so too does the need for accessibility. In anticipation of this MAA is expanding its projects, particularly in the areas of education and new media.

To support the upcoming projects, MAA has employed Natalie Collins as Deputy Chief Executive and Peach Emmett as Online Communications Coordinator.

Natalie has only recently moved to Sydney, having left a position of General Manager at Infoxchange in Victoria. Infoxchange is a not-for-profit organisation with a focus on information technology sharing amongst not-for-profits.

Natalie is greatly looking forward to the challenge of overseeing the many projects and says of the move, “I am excited to have the opportunity to enrich my passion for assisting all people with access to technology and mainstream media.”

Peach comes to MAA after spending much of the last year focused on her postgraduate studies. She has been working part time in the not-for-profit sector in communications-based roles for a number of years and is looking forward to this new role.

MAA will continue to provide information and advice about accessibility, and you can follow us on Twitter or subscribe to our newsletter to get updates on new projects.
