Accessible Arts, the peak arts and disability organisation in NSW, has once again partnered with Sculpture by the Sea to provide a series of accessible tours for people with vision impairment and people with intellectual disability.

A successful pilot program last year increased accessibility to this fantastically popular event.  Accessible Arts and Sculpture by the Sea are both committed to building on that experience and expanding the reach of the program to people with disabilities. This year, as well as audio described tours for people with vision impairment, Sculpture by the Sea will run tactile tours in easy English for people with intellectual disability.

These guided tours through the exhibition site of Marks Park will encourage people to interact and engage with a series of stimulating artworks that are safe to touch and located in easily accessible areas.

Tactile and audio described tours will be held on Wednesday 3 November from 5.30pm to 7pm and Saturday 6 November from 10.30am to midday.

Tactile and easy English tours will be held on Wednesday 10 November from 5.30pm to 7pm and Saturday 6 November from 1pm to 2.30pm.

All tours are free and take place at Marks Park, Fletcher Street and Marks Lane, Tamarama.  Bookings are essential.  Email your booking requirements to education@sculpturebythesea.com or call (02) 8399 0233.
