Audio description for a Gilbert and Sullivan favourite

Wednesday, 28 April 2010 15:15pm

One of the most loved comic operas, 'The Pirates of Penzance', will be presented with audio description in November 2010.

Starring Anthony Warlow, Opera Australia will perform this foot stomping, wisecracking, feel good show when it sails back into town, complete with its crazy cartoons, swashbuckling heroes and dainty heroines.  And better still, Vision Australia will deliver an audio described performance at 1pm on Wednesday, 3 November.

Tickets are in the B Reserve and cost $83.  One person accompanying a Companion Card holder will be free.  Contact Byron McDonald at Opera Australia's box office on phone 02 9318 8214 for tickets and be sure to say you are calling for the audio described performance.

This is a first for audio described opera in Sydney.
