Microsoft has released to manufacturer (RTM) a new version of their flagship development software suite Visual Studio 2010. The new product contains a number of updates for developers creating applications for Windows-based devices and websites, including several accessibility improvements.

The main accessibility updates include improvements to the user interface for developers with disabilities, the ability to produce web pages compliant with the updated WCAG 2.0 standard, and support for the accessibility APIs contained in Windows 7.

Developers subscribed to MSDN are now able to download final product release. Further information on the accessibility features of Visual Studio 2010 can be found on the Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 accessibility website.
