Access All Areas Film Festival will run again this year from 1-5 December across Sydney venues, bringing captioned and audio described Australian feature and short films to the general public and into the classrooms of schools.

The free annual event will travel to Parramatta, Casula and Sydney city during early December. Along with the general festival schedule at these locations, school or community venues can host a free screening outside of the main festival time. This Family Friendly Shorts program includes Australian short films such as Gallant Captain, My Country and Barbouillageville.

The major feature-length film this year is Tracks, starring Mia Wasikowska, which tells the true story of a woman’s solo trek across the Australian Outback with only her dog and four unpredictable camels for company.

Bookings for all cinema sessions are essential. All sessions are either open captioned only, or open captioned and audio described. Some sessions are also Auslan interpreted. Be sure to check the schedule for access provisions.
