1. Mortido - State Theatre Company
‘Mortido’ is revenge, tragedy, crime thriller and contemporary morality play all rolled into one. It begins with a Mexican fable about death and takes in the Sydney police force, Qantas, quinoa, Berlin, Nazi Germany, Krispy Kreme donuts, Coca Cola, public housing, a seventh birthday party, the property market and a body in Australia’s most famous Harbour.

ADAHK was formed in 1986 as a result of the first Hong Kong Festival of Arts with the Disabled. Promoting arts for everyone takes on a two-directional and complementary approach for the organisation: horizontal and vertical.

Caption developments for cinema and the arts
In an update on last year’s article on the Off-Screen Cinema Subtitling System we’ve learned that testing of this new technology has taken place in a UK cinema with the next stage being to finalise software for cinemas to use.

National audio description survey for cultural venues
The Arts Access Australia survey is aimed at all arts and cultural venues regardless of whether they currently offer audio description. Taking between five and ten minutes to complete, the survey will gauge the level of audio description offered compared to other access services venues are providing.
