While its ability to play content is remarkable, its accessibility features will leave some people with disabilities excited, while others will be disappointed.

The Boxee Box is designed to be an Internet-enabled media centre that can be plugged into any TV. There are three main features of the Boxee Box:

The festivities at Media Access Australia are in full swing with the fourth instalment in the 12 Days of Access and an interview with Dr Scott Hollier.

Scott has been with Media Access Australia for over two years, and earlier in 2010 moved back to Western Australia where he is a Project Manager involved in some very exciting projects.

VoiceOver comes to Apple TV with new software update

The second generation Apple TV now supports VoiceOver after Apple released a software update overnight.

VoiceOver, Apple’s text-to-speech screen reader technology, not only reads the name of the menu item you are on, but also reads out information about the content you are listening to or watching. For example, VoiceOver will announce the title of the TV episode you are watching, or the title and artist of a song you are listening to.
