The conference’s aims include sharing information about developments in print accessibility technology, and enhancing dialogue between users and providers of information. The theme of next year’s conference is ‘Dynamics of information access – Current and future contexts and designs’. Some of the suggested topics for presentations are ‘Policy, research or models of service delivery for children and adults with a print disability’ and ‘The state of planning and implications of Disability Care (formerly NDIS) for persons with print disabilities’.

The 2014 Round Table, which was held in Brisbane in May, covered a host of interesting topics, including university access and copyright reform. Media Access Australia CEO Alex Varley presented on the importance of audio description for giving people who are blind or vision impaired equal access to entertainment.

More information and a guide to making submissions regarding presentations can be found on the Round Table website.
